About

Kate Atkin, Sea Pyramid

Squid & Tabernacle is an itinerant art gallery without a fixed location- since 2008 we have been staging exhibitions and events in a variety of spaces including a disused tailor’s shop, a shipping container, art festivals and studio complexes. Itinerancy allows us freedom to exhibit work that could or should not be contained within the constraints of a conventional bricks and mortar gallery, or that has been produced specifically for the space in which it is to be exhibited. In each location that we visit we encourage artists to launch ambitious projects that may not have been possible within the confines of their studio practice.
